eBooks
An eBook is an electronic version of a printed book.

You can borrow up to 12 items or reserve up to 8 items at one time, all with a loan period of up to 3 weeks. After this time they are returned automatically.

Titles can be renewed for longer periods if there are no other library users waiting for it.

To borrow an eBook you will need your library card number and library PIN.

eBooks are provided to Kent library members by OverDrive via the Libby app, which can be downloaded onto a number of different devices including:

  • Android and iOS mobiles and tablets

  • Windows 10 devices

  • some Chromebooks

  • some eReaders including Kobo.

If you wish to take a look at what eBooks are available before signing up or downloading any apps, you can browse the OverDrive library without signing in.

To find our selection in Libby please search for Kent County Council.

Libby lets you change the size and display styles of the fonts to suit you, including dyslexic fonts.

For a full list of devices and guidance on how to set the app up please visit the getting started guide or Ask a Kent Librarian, who will be happy to assist you.
